Episode 230-Angry Old F**k

Hello listeners. This weeks song wasn't written this week, wrote it a couple weeks ago when I was having quite the shit time, times change, I'm not so bad now, moving forward etc. Anyways, so this is like whiney angry silly music I guess, on purpose, definitely supposed to be over the top, but also a little about how aging makes younger people seem a little ridiculous at times, there's a place I've been to a couple times, a late night bar with DJ's who play mostly terrible music and occasionally something good, this song I'd say came from that place, I really don't like that place all that much, or at least not the young crowd in there, because I'm getting older and would rather read a good book than watch young people trying to find someone to have sex with in a public place where alcohol's being sold aplenty. See, I'm grumpy and old. Anyways, hope it's a fun listen, take none of it seriously and thanks for your time and ears.

Episode 229-She Gave You Wine & Cigarettes

Hello listeners. This weeks tune is a real simple Banjo & Uke thing, (I wish I had a xylophone, that's be in there too if I did), it's about friends looking out for me and me not seeing it, in the past, accepting that people can have good intentions towards you and the like, all mental health things I guess, self worth issues and the like and aiming at beating them. Anyways, universal stuff I imagine. Hope it's a nice listen and thanks for your time and ears. If you want to include your eyes watch the video below:

Episode 228-Devil's Child

Hello listeners. This week's tune is a long winded patience testing odd thing based on a doco I saw called 'Why Should The Devil Have All The Good Music', it's droney and messy, and repetitive, it's since had it's entire middle cut out and been sped up but here's the original idea anyways, I think it's probly not too bad....? It's about kids at Christian music festivals in the US being led into 'feeling' something, and the horrific pressure that these kids put on themselves to do that and to be something I think nobody can be, which is perfect, holy etc. I dig Jesus, but I don't dig him being misrepresented and used as a tool for press ganging people into 'right' thinking.
Anyways, like I said, patience tester, if you dig it, much appreciated, if not, well that's OK, this weekly thing is for all comers, every song I write, bad or good.
cesky.bandcamp.com/
is where you get the ones that have been picked out of the huge mess and strung together for proper reasons and the like.
Anyways, thanks for your time and ears, here's a video/drawing to go with the tune:

Episode 227-Fictional Juliet

Hello listeners, this weeks tune is a simple acoustic guitar thing about my tragically optimistic views on potential romance in a world that doesn't seem particularly interested in such things. Being above the age of five I realise that popular media sells us 'romance' as an answer to life from the get go, I don't buy into that, but I do fall for people frequently, or at least have in the past in what I would say is a fits the bill kind of emotion heavy kind of way. This maybe isn't a good thing, but it's made some songs that sound kinda calm 'n nice happen, and this is one of them, not directed at a specific person at all, just at the general idea.
Hope it's a nice listen anyways. Thanks for your time & ears, here's a video/drawing to go with the tune:

Episode 226-Billie

Hello listeners, this weeks tune is about one of my most favourite singers in the history of singing, namely Billie Holiday. She had a really shitty life, but made beauty for other folks out of it and that's just plain amazing to me. Anyways, this one's about her early life, forced into prostitution by her own mum fairly early in life. The song's a messy grunting distorted thing more about men than it is about her, but also about her rising above that even then with/through music. Anyways, hope it's an interesting listen and thanks for your time and ears, here's a video/drawing to go with it:

Episode 225-Spiderman

Hello listeners. Like a bunch of other tunes I've written this weeks song is about mental illness, or lack of mental health at least, which I think everyone feels/deals with in some way. Anyways, this is specifically harking back to social anxiety experiences I've had and my up and down connection with spirituality and the church and such, how the church in the past has not been particularly good with mental health issues, (but I'd say it's getting better maybe...?)
Anyways, under all that it's also just a song, and fictional hyperbole and pictures and the like. Hope you enjoy it anyways. Here's a video/drawing to go with it.

Episode 224-JB HiFi

Hello listeners. This weeks tune is a hyperbolised fiction about a girl I think is a lil cute at my local JB HiFi, I don't get nervous like the song says, or even go there to see said girl, I go there to buy shit loads of music and become a poor person, but it make a nice picture I hope and also I think everybody has a crush of some kind on somebody who works at shop they go to a lot, (probably?) Hope you enjoy anyways.

Here's a drawing/video to got with the tune:
