Hello listeners, this weeks song is real simple I guess, a couple folks I know have gotten together, seems like a good idea, this is a tune for them, by way of encouragement. Hello listeners. Facebook told me this is International Women's Day 2016. So here's a song about how men who sleaze onto women suck and are unreachable and behave like tantrum-y children when rejected, (I've seen it, it's hilarious but can also be frightening because they're big and often like to hit things or other big children, or just whoever's in their way). It's judgemental for sure but the bridge is me confessing that I thought maybe this worked for a while there, that manly-man-ness was achieved this way. It isn't. I never tried it either, I'm incapable, doesn't make me any better than anyone, it's just nature and nurture and all that stuff.

Anyways, hopefully it's a fun listen, not supposed to be taken too seriously.

Happy International Women's Day, Women are awesome, treat them with respect and dignity, (just like I'm sure you treat everyone anyways).

Episode 159-Don't You Wish You Had A Daughter Like Peggy Ray?

Hello listeners. This weeks tune is about Margaret Mary Ray, (nicknamed Peggy), who suffered from schizophrenia, stalked David Letterman for a long while and then an astronaut named Story Musgrave, and died by suicide, kneeling down with her head on a railway track. Tragic, horrible story, I read, (and can see), that the pain of mental illness isn't entirely wrapped up in the illness itself but is heightened in lucid moments, when you see no way out, when you can see the damage that you're doing, or the state that you're in more clearly. That's what got me about this story, that her suicide was all about clarity, so horrible, so bloody sad. Anyways, definitely worth a song, mental health is a serious thing.

Hello listeners. This week's tune is about how I've been hangin out with some Mormon missionaries, (if you listen all the time you've heard about 'em before), and talking about Jesus and the like. I went to a Mormon church today and was kinda slightly disturbed by a lot of it, uneasy like, this is a song about how when I'm speaking with the missionaries at home about Jesus related things it seems pretty OK, fairly helpful, but that formulaic rule driven mini societies created from off shoots of some of Jesus words are probably not for me.
