Episode 199-(Peek-a-boo with) Baby Jesus

Hello listeners, this weeks tune is an automatic writing weird mix of words about toast and squids and jam jars and Iranian people. I could explain it all but I think it's probably OK to let the gaps be unfilled, nothing super serious going on anyways, fairly positive stuff. Hope it's a fun listen and thanks for your time. Here's a video/drawing to go with it:

Episode 198-Speak Your Mind

Hello listeners, this weeks tune I wrote containing the exact amount of energy needed to go to sleep, so it's slow, kinda sporadicy sounding and pretty simple, (I would've waited till I woke up some, but the song was coming anyways so I let it). It's about honesty I guess, not sure whether speaking your mind is actually a great idea, definitely sometimes it isn't, but I'm singing about it here because I recently was in a young persons situation, at a club/place with a DJ, alcohol and lots of hipster types, and there was a definite level of total fake about the situation, and also nobody could really hear anybody else speak anyways. Met some good folks still, but not really the place for me, live music, always, somebody playing records, not so much. Anyways I hope it's a fun listen, it's not super serious. Here's a video/drawing to go with it:

Thanks for your time and ears, and the positive feedback I get from some of you folks, always hugely appreciated.

Episode 197-Awkward Stories

Hello listeners, this weeks tune came out kind of automatic writing-ish in a couple of sittings so I can't really say that I know what it's about, seems maybe like it lines up with my current feelings and experiences of communication, the mess that it makes and is, the joy and confusion of it both being basically the same thing. Also, more stuff about the past is in there, just generally, everybody's past, the way you accumulate things that have happened and wear them around the place.
Hope it's a fun listen, was fun to make. Thanks as always for your time and ears and here's a video/drawing to go with the tune:

Also, a plug: free downloadable albums of Cesky songs available here
just put zero dollars in the 'pay what you like' box,
(or send me a couple bucks if you're feeling generous).

Episode 196-Bandaid

Hello listeners. This weeks tune is a slow-ish banjolele thing, took up an entire Sunday to put together, mostly writing, and then scrapping, and writing again, and so on, got there eventually. It's about I guess the past effecting how you/I see things, how that's unavoidable and universal and painful etc, but doesn't have to own you, doesn't at all, not really. Anyways, under all that jargon it's also just a song, and hopefully a nice listen, many thanks for your time and ears as always and here's a drawing/video to go with it:

Episode 195-Semi Automatic

Hello listeners, this weeks tune is a crunchy Banjo thing about talking too much. I spent a very large portion of my life not really saying much at all, and to some extent I still do that, I find it hard to be understood sometimes, like everything I say has a million little notches of explainy thing that could sail along with it and even still maybe it wouldn't make sense. Maybe this is common...? Anyways, as a reaction against all that quiet and also when I find people with similar views on things I tend to talk WAY to much, and this song is about that, I guess. Anyways, hopefully it's a fun listen, it involves a Bass pedal purchased with birthday money, many thanks to my work buddies for that.

Here's a video/drawing to go with the tune:
